Walker, Jr., is Jennie Farris Railey King Professor Emeritus of Religion at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as a member of the faculty and as an administrator from 1962 until his retirement in 2002.  The author, co-author, editor, associate editor, or assistant editor of a number of books, he has also published more than fifty articles on New Testament topics.  He is a member of Westar Institute’s Acts Seminar, of Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas, of the Society of Biblical Literature, and of the Catholic Biblical Association of America.
