Robert L'Hommedieu Miller was Minister Emeritus of the Unitarian Universalist First Church of Plymouth and Associate Professor of Religion
Emeritus of Tufts University. His life long academic interest was the intersection between liberal religion, psychology and education. He served
in World War II first in the medical corp and then in the infantry as an officer. He was the founder and for many years a board member of the
Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless. Of Scottish heritage, he learned to play the bagpipes at age 60.
